I think it's great news that this recessionary period actually underlined the need for leadership development. It would have been easy for many people kill efforts in response to financial challenges. That they didn't is a testament to the value of developing leaders.

Its good to see that executive coaching survived this recession, and I know that it has a big future in store for it. I know a Phoenix executive coach and I believe he does like you say, "Develope their own process for coaching." Thanks again for the article!

Excellent points, Skip. I was just thinking I need to carve out more time each week to think and create. Your post affirms that. Taking time to think and create always leads to my biggest breakthroughs!

Great summary. The balanced discipline in keeping innovation and creativity working to produce synergy for the employee and organization is important and difficult to maintain with the pressure of ROI. I try to think of it in terms of Innovation, Interaction, Integration, and Implementation moving from the (creative) idea to the product.

Chris Argyris made a wonderful distinction that describes what you're posting. He suggested that we have a "Theory Espoused," or what we say we believe and a "Theory in Use," describing what we actually do.

Landed on your blog tonight and really enjoyed your writing style and your vision.

I wondered if you could help let others know about the latest news regarding a few popular music artists and their efforts to aid over 1,000,000 Hurricane Katrina victims?

With many others, Green Day, Alicia Keys, Usher and Dave Matthews will be involved in a Hurricane Katrina relief concert aired live on three music networks - MTV, VH1 and CMT. All proceeds will go to the Red Cross for the southern USA victims.

Thank you for allowing me to comment here and spread the word. If you're interested in music download online you might like this site for mp3 music...
