Yay! Welcome to the madness. But I will say this: you have the compulsion to write? No matter what? You're a writer. It's a kind of dyed in the wool thing. Does it complete you? Then it's a part of you now, and later. Whether or not a thousand people or none see it.

Hi! I just found your blog for the first time! Keep on going. I just wanted to say I loved "On Writing" very much. He has a lot of interesting things to say about his own writing process. I have many bits and pieces around my house too. I take a weird satisfaction in knowing that, although no one will ever see most of this in my lifetime, my children will find it after I'm gone. That's morbid, right? :)
