Here we got three or four giant volumes, all expensive, and the scripts I really wanted spread across all three. The Sturges family are also hanging on to one or two of his unfilmed scripts, and seem keen to keep them to themselves.

Tell me about it. I don't even have a copy of those books since they were published piecemeal (at least here in the US), and it's a costly little collection.

Maybe he's just not looked at this post again -- try the up-to-date one? I have that Sturges book, I think. Must look it up. The script of Remember the Night was substantially cut by Leisen -- I've always had an interest in reading the original, but the published Sturges screenplays are awfully expensive.
