Great pictures. I also like the grain bag.

We keep a good supply of our hay strings for all kinds of uses around the place. The rest get thrown away.

I'll be somebody could make a science out of looking at icicles and being able to formulate what the temperatures have been based on how straight or curvy they are. I hang on to some strings to use to hold fence panels in place while I nail them in, and to hold the trailer doors open on windy days. I throw the rest out. Good texture in all of those photos.

I use the baleing twine in crafts. I've braided it into thicker ropes and wound up the ropes and made outdoor rugs. There is also a loom knitting pattern to knit them into curry combs. I haven't tried that one yet because I'm still getting the hang of knitting on my knitting loom.

beautiful textures! i like the grain one best.

i have no idea what to do with hay twine. ours is that old, rustic kind (yours is nylon?). so we could burn it, as equus magazine told us this month in its farm recycling article.

or maybe i could offer it up for free, germans reuse everything.
