Pop the capsule and put the drops into your ear. I'm actually doing it right now. Some people, like myself, produce more earwax oddly enough it's just in one ear for me.

Hey, thanks for the comment. It's so rare I get one it takes me forever to notice it.

I have a couple of concert pics, but most didn't turn out too well. As for the lighter, they don't allow them in the venue any longer.

Seriously, I was blown away. Everyone used to use lighters (and the place used to smell like weed during a concert) but now there's no ignition tolerated. Not even a lighter is allowed to flare, let alone a joint. (Not that I'm into that, but it was part of the charm of going.)

As for signalling for an encore, everyone uses the lights from their phones. Weird...

Even though I'm not a smoker, I'd have to say that there's something more ... authentic about a solid refillable lighter as compared to the disposable ones.

The motherboard came with a CD, but it didn't seem to have any drivers on it, just some sort of program that had something to do with backups. As for the motherboard plug, I still don't understand what the extra 2X2 plug is for, but you can be damn sure I'm not going to mess with it.

As for video cards, I'm not really interested in gaming, but thanks for the advice anyway.

Side note: I think it's interesting, how in the Newegg videos the guy is always putting together systems that cost at least a thousand. The case alone on one retails for $260. I guess they're just showing off their stuff.

Congrats! I actually didn't know that about SATA cables. I never tried putting them the wrong way, but I assumed that they would work and that the labels were only suggestions.

A suggestion if you get a video card: Get one without a fan. Those fans can be really, really loud.

You did the right thing on the motherboard plug.

Did the motherboard come with drivers? Did you run a complete install? Most of the time, if you do a complete install from the motherboard CD, it'll install the ethernet drivers.

Yeah, I might not go the MFA route. Teaching doesn't interest me; I'm just looking for some instruction so my fiction writing will be better.

The school also has a program that parallels the MFA, but doesn't grant the degree. If it's cheaper then I'll probably just go that route.

Also, I suppose I could just go for a bachelor's in creative writing instead. I'm going to have to look into everything before I jump in.

Yeah, mohs surgery has something like a 97% success rate for this type of carcinoma, so the odds are definitely in my favor.

Again, thanks for your best wishes.

Thanks. I have the bandage off now, and am wondering whether to post pics.

The skin-graft looks a bit like one of those "potato-skin" appetizers. It is however improving, as it's getting the correct color.

I've noticed a severe drop-off in appliance durability as well.

My last dishwasher lasted for 10 or 12 years--my current one gives me problems after only three years.

We had a 32" 1993 tv (i forget the brand) for 16 years. It was still going strong when we gave it away to make room for a larger plasma. Haven't had much problems with the new one, but somehow I suspect it's not going to last for more than 16 years.

Probably the pace of technology development is driving some of this quality degradation. Manufacturers just assume that people will upgrade to the cool new thing every two years so they don't bother to make things that last longer than that.

I never watched until I got a DVR and a kick-ass tv, which was only last year. And even then I came in only around stage 15, a good two weeks into it.

I notice the more I watch, the more interesting it becomes. A big part of that is learning about the riders.

I'm sad it's over. I still have some posting to do though.

For various reasons I've hardly watched any of the TdF this year, hopefully I'll be able to catch some of what remains.
