How to Get the Most Benefit from Feedage.com - Part 1: Readers

This is the first of a two part article describing how to make the most of the features and services offered on Feedage.com. Feedage.com provides features and benefits for both content readers and content publishers. This article will give content readers some ideas on how they can get the most from Feedage.com.

Most readers find our pages by using external search engines such as Google and Yahoo. Once on Feedage.com we have developed a number of features that help readers find and follow RSS Feeds.

1. Finding RSS Feeds. Feedage.com provides three ways for readers to find RSS Feeds. First; we submit all feeds to many external search engines. This allows readers to find Feeds from outside of Feedage.com using the major search engines. Second; readers can search using a familiar full text search interface. Search results are sorted by relevance and grade with other sort options. Lastly; every Feed is categorized. Readers can browse through the categorized feeds.

2. Reading Feeds.  Readers can use the Feedage.com preview feature to read RSS feeds. While this is not as full featured as some RSS readers, it does provide the basic functionality.

3. Easy to subscribe to any RSS Feed using the major RSS readers. Every preview page has links to allow readers to subscribe to the RSS Feed with a single click. A single click can add a RSS Feed to Google, Yahoo, AOL and may other readers.

4. My Groups is a tool where readers can create groups of thier favorite RSS Feeds. My Groups will help them quickly access the feeds and will also allow them to export OPML to be used by other tools.

5. RSS Blender allows readers to create custom blends (Mashups) of RSS Feeds. Easily create a blend of RSS feeds allowing you to follow multiple Feeds with just one. Want a sampling of news across different sources, create a blend of the top 5 news sources and follow their latest news all in one RSS Feed.

6. RSS Grading. Feedage.com grades every feed to help readers find the highest quality RSS Feeds. Feeds are graded on many aspects and receive a lettered (A-D) grade. Using this grade for both search results and submission to search engines gives readers the ability to quickly filter out old and junk RSS Feeds.

Feedage.com is always working to make our services better for both content readers and content providers. This article covered some of the current features that we have developed to allow readers that are looking for high quality RSS Feeds to find and subscribe to them.
